Sports Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Pregnancy Massage, Kinesio Taping
I offer my treatments on a mobile basis in and around Sleaford, Tattershall, Coningsby, Woodhall Spa, Spalding and Boston and on Saturdays from Jim's Gym in Sleaford.
Sports Massage is not solely for people who do sports. If you work at a desk, or spend a lot of time driving, you may suffer back, shoulder and neck pain or stiffness. Sports Massage utilises methods such as muscle energy techniques (METs), soft tissue release (STR), and stretching to break down adhesions, relieve tension and aid circulation.
Deep Tissue Massage concentrates on areas of tension and pain and uses deep, slow strokes in order to reach the sub-layer of muscles and the fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles). It helps to break down adhesions in the tissue to relieve pain and restore normal movement.
Myofascial Release is a gentle manual therapy used to treat soft tissue and fascial tension and restrictions. Where fascia becomes tightened it can restrict movement and cause pain. I will utilise myofascial release techniques where fascia is found to be causing restriction to the muscles and joints.
Pregnancy Massage is a gentle treatment to help support both mum and baby. This is a therapeutic bodywork which focuses on the special needs of mums-to-be as the body undergoes the changes that pregnancy brings. Benefits of this treatment include helping to calm the body systems and functions, promoting feelings of wellbeing, relaxation, better sleep and much more.
Kinesio Taping is a rehabilitative taping technique that is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion. It can be used for a range of conditions including muscle imbalance and helps with postural correction, plus providing pain relief and helping to prevent re-injury.
I am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists.
Prior to your appointment I will complete a full consultation with you to ensure the treatment is suitable and also to discuss and agree a treatment plan with you.
If you have a medical condition which may be a contraindication to treatment, I will need you to seek guidance from your medical professional/GP.
Thank you. Zoe Myall

Comfortable, loose clothing. Shorts can be worn if you prefer. Towels are used during the treatment to cover areas not being worked on so you are kept comfortable.
If you have areas of tightness, tenderness can be felt; however, I will speak to you during the massage to check the pressure and ensure you are comfortable and less or firmer pressure can be used.
At the first appointment, a medical history is taken and a treatment plan will be discussed and agreed with you. For sports massage, depending on your requirements I may carry out passive, active, and resisted muscle tests to identify where muscle tightness, weakness or imbalances exist. After the treatment, specific exercises and stretches can be suggested to help you.
On your first appointment you will be asked to complete a health questionnaire. This is to ensure that the treatment is suitable for you. If there are any health concerns you may be referred to your GP for further advice. You must also notify the therapist if you are pregnant, or think you may be pregnant.
All information provided will be treated as confidential and safely stored and your details will be updated to create a record of the treatment provided and its outcome.
